*Optional; bring photos of your child to personalize the front of your IEP binder

A binder can be as simple or detailed as you want it to be. The most important thing is to organize your documents. They must be easy to find when you need them. Start with a 3-ring binder and section dividers which we will provide, then you can gather your materials and label your dividers. We recommend parents to keep an updated photo on the very front of the binder, this helps the team stay focused on the child’s individual needs and goals. At the end of the training if you have questions about your individual case we encourage you to email your Parent Guide to schedule a meeting to discuss. As always, our support is free to families.
Participants who Register and Attend this Training will be Provided 1 IEP Binder Starter Kit Per Family.
- Tab dividers
- Pen and Highlighter
- Pencil pouch

Organizing a binder with your child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP), evaluation reports, and other paperwork can help you prepare for IEP meetings. The binder can also help you stay up to date on your child’s progress and partner with the school. Use this guide to learn how to make an IEP binder.
