CARES Community Parent Resource Center (CPRC) provides free trainings, resources, and individualized support to parents and caregivers of children and youth with disabilities, from birth through age 26. We are proud to serve as the federally funded Parent Training and Information Center for families in San Diego and Imperial Counties.

An organized IEP binder can help you feel more prepared, confident, and informed during IEP meetings and throughout your child’s educational journey. Join us to learn how to create a personalized binder that keeps all of your child’s important educational records in one easy-to-access place.
Who Should Attend
Parents, caregivers, and family members of children and youth who receive special education services or have an IFSP, IEP, or Section 504 Plan.
Materials to Have Available
- 3-ring binder
- Tab dividers
- Pen
- Highlighter
- Pencil pouch (optional)
- Your child’s most recent IFSP, IEP, or Section 504 Plan
- Recent evaluations or assessments
- A copy of your Procedural Safeguards
- Any additional educational records you would like to organize
- A current photo of your child (optional, for the binder cover)
