Learn the steps to help you effectively advocate for your child’s needs. As an equal partner in your child’s education\, you must be able to effectively communicate your views and feelings to the School Team and other school personnel. This workshop explores styles of communication\, listening skills\, organization skills\, tools\, resources and more to help you keep communication between home and school on the right track! Remember\, you are an equal partner in your child’s education. \nThis training will cover: What is an Advocate & Why You Should Advocate 6 Skills of Advocacy Tips for Communication in Meetings and in Writing/Emails What To Do When You Can’t Agree \nDon’t miss this workshop and the opportunity to improve your advocacy skills and become a more effective IEP team member.
